Action Originals is the brainchild of Dena Misner.  Dena is co-owner of Action Custom Straps, a small business that makes custom guitar and camera straps.  Many of the straps feature snakeskin.  When a snakeskin is cut to make a custom guitar or camera strap, not all of the skin is used.  So, one day, Dena decided to try her hand at covering a bangle blank with a remnant of turquoise colored whipsnake.  She received many compliments and not a little interest in the bangle.  So, combining her interest in fashion and her love of all things jewelry, she decided to make and sell snakeskin bangles and bracelets.  Thus, Actions Originals was born.

Dena, always a thrifty shopper, realized that pricing the accessories reasonably was very important.  Therefore, many of the bangles which feature real snakeskin, such as whipsnake, python, cobra, viper, diamond watersnake, and diamondback rattlesnake, are priced under $20.  This often allows a customer to afford more bangles to mix and match.

 Although most Action Originals accessories are modestly priced, for those customers who want something a little more exclusive, there are some items that reflect that exclusivity.  Action Originals flagship bangles are handpainted snakeskins, such as python and cobra like the one pictured here.

Handpainted cobra or python is not your every day item but represents some of the items that Action Originals will offer.
